TRAFFIC ALERT: Work on the Osborne Avenue Railroad Bridge will commence Monday July 29th, 2024 – March 2025

Osborne Avenue will be closed to traffic, northbound and southbound, between Fort Point Street and Rowan Street.

This is a long term closure to facilitate the replacement of the railroad bridge. Work will commence on Monday July 29, 2024 and is expected to go through March 2025.

• Northbound traffic will be detoured west along Van Zant Street to Fort Point Street. Southbound traffic will be detoured west on Fort Point Street and Van Zant Street to points south of the bridge.

• Pedestrian and bicycle access will be maintained for most of the closure except when construction equipment is required on Osborne Avenue for certain activities.

• Motorists are advised to follow posted detour signs and routes.

• All local property and business access are maintained.

• Noise will be monitored during construction operations.

• The schedule is subject to change.
